Joshua came all the way from Portland, Oregon to celebrate his 1st birthday with family and friends at Mon Ami Gabi in Reston, Virginia.  Although he didn’t take a nap in the morning, Joshua was full of smiles and laughs throughout the whole party, he even kept his hambok and hat on for the majority of the time.  At most of the dols, doljabi raffle winners usually got a gift certificate of some sort but at Joshua’s, they gave out a golf club and a bottle wine.  Of course the winner of the wine was a minor. Haha.  He and the guests had a great time and Joshua even got to taste sugar for the first time in the creme brulee which he looked like he enjoyed.

Twins, Sebi and Kylie turned 1 and came down to Virginia to celebrate with their family.  Here are some pictures from their birthday celebration at Wildfire Restaurant in Tysons Corner, Virginia.  The party was planned by Lillian Lee so if you need a good coordinator, let me know and I can send over her contact info. It’s been a year since I first visited Mr. Smiley, Alex, at the hospital. This past weekend he had his Madagascar themed 1st birthday party with some of his friends.  Alex was in a great mood all afternoon and was smiling and laughing like crazy.  The little guy was adored by everyone there especially his family, who put in all the time and effort to make sure the party was a success.  Happy Birthday Alex!

It was a wild 1st birthday celebration for the twin girls, Ava and Gia, that took place at Diya Restaurant in Vienna, Virginia.  Lots of family and friends came out to enjoy the great food and dancing with the girls.  The girls were in great spirits and seemed to enjoy everything that was going on around them and stayed up til pretty late.  Happy Birthday Ava and Gia!

Several weeks ago, I assisted Steven Kim Photography for Teresa and Wei’s traditional ceremonies.  The morning was filled with lots of laughter, joy, and tears by family and friends.  There was definitely a lot of excitement in the air as the day progressed and happiness was oozing out of the two love birds. Congrats Teresa and Wei!

Melody has already turned 1 when it feels like last week I had seen her for her newborn session.  We celebrated her birthday at Bazin’s on Church in Vienna, Virginia.  It was an afternoon of delicious food and lots of sweet treats for all the guests.  Melody enjoyed her first tasting of sugar in her birthday cake and had fun with her little friends.  Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Jeremiah celebrated his 1st birthday with a restaurant full of people who adore him very much.  The party took place at Han Gang Restaurant in Annandale, Virginia where the atmosphere, service, and food are exceptional.  Jeremiah’s mom did an awesome job with the decorations and little details all around the restaurant.  During the doljabi, Jeremiah chose the golf ball which made the crowd and his family very happy considering the majority of them chose that he would pick it. Happy 1st Birthday Jeremiah!!

DohSahn’s 1st birthday party was another fabulous celebration with family and friends.  He had family come in from the west coast to celebrate this joyous occasion.  His aunt made his birthday cupcakes that were super delicious, his dad grilled the galbi(korean bbq meat) on the back deck, and his mom made sure everything ran smoothly.  DohSahn was all smiles most of the party and then by the end he even grabbed the swifter to start cleaning up.  Happy 1st birthday DohSahn!

Michael’s parents put on a grand party for his 1st birthday at the Sheraton Hotel in Columbia, Maryland.  They had an awesome cake, personalized party favors, and a talented balloon artist that made some incredible stuff.  All the guests had a great time in this joyous occasion.  Michael seemed to be in a content mood throughout his party and enjoyed the company surrounding him. Happy Birthday Michael!

Jacob is normally a happy boy but I think he was overwhelmed with all the attention at his birthday.  He wasn’t the happiest camper when he was surrounded by all the guests attending his party but was all smiles when he was by himself away from the chaos.  Here are some pictures from the party held at Stanford Grill in Columbia, Maryland.

It seems like just yesterday Lex was born and this past weekend I photographed his 1st birthday party.  Friends and family traveled from all over the U.S to celebrate this joyous occasion with Lex and his parents at The Palace Restaurant in Annandale, Virginia.   Even though Lex wasn’t the happiest birthday boy, everyone enjoyed the food, the delicious cake made by Cupcakes Actually in Fairfax,  and had great laughs with him.  Happy Birthday little guy!

Her name was Lola, she was a show girl…Copacabana is one of my favorite karaoke songs to sing and so how fitting was it that Lola chose the microphone for her doljabi?  The night was filled with happiness and laughter as the big family came together to celebrate one of the few girls in the family’s birthday.  A lot of work was put in by family members to make the party a success from all the delicious food and the baked goods made by Lola’s uncle.  Here are a glimpse from the night.

Clive would like to welcome you to his 1st birthday party at Chima Brazilian Restaurant in Vienna, Virginia.  According to Clive’s doljabi, his future will be a soccer player with lots of money which made his daddy very happy.  Everyone was happy with the endless meat with chimichurri sauce and devoured the candy bar that was set out.  It would have been a perfect day except little Clive fell over and busted his head on the table.  After the initial shock of his fall, Clive was all smiles and resumed the party and partied til he knocked out. Happy Birthday little guy!

Kim, Hopkins, and Associates is a financial planning firm located in Vienna, Virginia.  They recently held a client appreciation happy hour at On the Border Mexican Restaurant where people enjoyed the endless mexican food and drinks.  The night was filled with lots of fun conversations and ended with a raffle consisting of gift certificates and a digital camera.  Here are some pictures from the event.

Carley and Sean had a beautiful wedding in Jamaica last week but wanted to have a reception back home for family and friends who couldn’t make it down.  The reception took place at Top of the Town in Arlington, Virginia that had an amazing overlooking Washington D.C.  We were fortunate enough for the rain to hold up and the fog to clear so that people could enjoy the view from the balcony.  The newlywed was all smiles and giggles as they entertained their guests throughout the night.  The guests also had a great time with the photobooth.  Congrats Carley and Sean!!
