HAPPY NEW YEAR!! and what’s a better way to ring in the new year than a newborn baby. Meet Isabell, she is Maddy’s new younger sister. You can tell Maddy is going to be a great big sister and these 2 girls are going to team up against their parents. Here are some pictures from the session where Isabell was wide awake and alert the whole time.

Nicolette finally came home after 100 days in the NICU. She entered the world under 2lbs and about 4 months early but that didn’t stop her at all because she was feisty and a fighter throughout the whole time at the NICU. With a lot of love and prayers, Nicolette left the NICU at over 6lbs and is now living the newborn life with her mommy and daddy at home. During the session, Bruno, their dog wanted some loving too so he intruded onto the set and got his photo taken as well. Nicolette also rocked the JMU socks that one of her NICU nurses got her during her stay. Welcome home little girl, I can’t wait to see you grow some more.

Tne new family of 3 came home and we had a quick session because Alex wasn’t in the picture taking mood. I’ve never heard a 2 day old newborn with a set of lungs like Alex aka Captain Adorable. I’m sure his parents will have a fun time with that. Here are a few pictures from the session.

Alex James T. would like to say “Hello World!” He was born yesterday at 8 lbs 1 oz and his mommy and daddy love him very much. I got to go to the hospital for a quick mini session. He was barely 24 hours old when I got to see him and I can’t wait to take some more pictures when he arrives home in a couple of days.

I visited Melody the other day to snap a few photographs. With newborns, you can always expect them to be sleeping the majority of the time and therefore can move them easily. Melody was sleeping but wanted to only be in certain positions like on her side. Melody’s mommy was saying how she loved bothering her little bundle of joy while she was sleeping which I found to be really funny but apparently she doesn’t really wake up when being prodded. Here are some pictures of the cutie pie.

Last week my brother’s best friend, Jason and his wife had their first child. Growing up, Jason was over all the time and drank all the orange juice in the house which made him more like a little brother than just another one of my brother’s friends. So I was thrilled to see him with a smile from ear to ear while he was holding his baby girl. She is a real cutie and will be melting the hearts of many boys in the years to come, which is something daddy isn’t too thrilled about. I can’t wait til she grows up and makes all her uncles play dress up and tea parties with her as well as see who she will root for, the redskins or cowboys. It should be fun. Here are some pictures from 5 day old Madelynn.

Hello Dakota!||Newborn

Yesterday I visited Dakota and her parents for a quick photo shoot. Dakota is 20 days old and is one amazing baby. During my time there I witnessed how much this little baby ate(like a champ!), how she was calmed by the sound of only country music, and how she randomly smiles in her sleep. It was great to see Hanna and Rathna interact with their little bundle of joy. Daddy made sure his little girl’s hair looked good and gave her a nice brush through before we started. It was SO CUTE!

Jordan Take 2|| Newborn

I revisited Jordan a few days ago. He had already changed so much from day 5 to day 10. He was in better spirits in this session and even flashed a little smile. I think he’s going to be a heartbreaker in a few years.

A few days ago, I tried something new….photographing newborns. Boy was that a challenge. I must have caught baby Jordan at the wrong time because he was not liking me taking his pictures. He just looked at me like, “what are you doing?” and then started crying… hahaha…I guess I will try to catch him on a better day but for now here is Jordan Joshua at 5 days old.
