My UVA friends and I took our 2nd annual golf trip last weekend to Scottsdale, Arizona.  The west coast and east reunited for a weekend of fun and golf.  Little did the east coast people know that it would be so cold there when the sun wasn’t up.  We were very shocked to see the weather in the 30s which we thought we escaped from in DC.  Nevertheless we managed to stay warm with high socks and sweatshirts.  Our golf games weren’t that great but the view was nothing but spectacular.  We can’t wait to reunite again for next year’s trip!

This year I will be offering a PHOTOBOOTH for my clients for their weddings, events, and parties.  It’s a new element of fun that everyone will enjoy.  So if you’re interested, send me a message and we’ll talk.

And since a post with no picture is no fun, here’s one from the U.S Naval Academy Chapel taken a couple weeks ago. A really gorgeous place for couples but not so much for the photographers since they don’t let you go to the front during the ceremony.

The weekend was extremely nice for pictures and after a couple of cancellations, I didn’t want the perfect sky to go to waste.  So I went out with my brother(’08 Subaru STi) and his friend(’08 Legacy GT) to take pictures of our cars.  A few months ago I switched from a Ford Explorer to a Subaru Legacy GT wagon and it has been awesome.  Though I loved the SUV, I am in much love with the wagon and haven’t even looked back.  Here are some pictures I took over the weekend, it was fun hanging out of the window to take the rolling pictures.

Over the weekend I got to celebrate with some of my best friends on a party bus.  I had a blast and couldn’t have asked for anything more. Here is just a glimpse of the night (taken with the canon s90).

The big dig out…What a mess and sadly there’s more to come.  At first the snow was a fun and exciting thought but now it’s becoming more of a nuisance.  I think we got close to 30 inches of snow.  I had my brother(who is 6’2) step in the snow to gauge it and it came up to his knees.    I’m so tired and sore from all the shoveling(though the pictures don’t show it but I did shovel…lol!)  and it’s a mess driving around because people don’t understand that you can’t be driving 50mph and then slam on the brakes.   I’m just glad that a plow finally came through so I could get out.  I think I would have gone cabin fever crazy.  Hopefully the new storm system coming up doesn’t do as much damage as they are predicting, another 10-2o inches.  All this snow will take forever to melt and it will be one hot mess.  Let’s hope that spring comes soon.

Well, looks like the weather people were right again.  Who would have ever thought that this much snow would really fall this weekend.  As of this morning, 18 inches had already fallen to the ground and it hasn’t stopped yet.  We got up and started shoveling away but only to see the driveway covered again within an hour. Here are a few pictures I took of my family in the snow.  The poor dog who is going to be 14 years old next month was struggling to find a spot to go to the bathroom.  Looks like we’re really snowed in this weekend.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to venture out in a few hours to take some more pictures.
