I got the opportunity to photograph the Trans over the weekend. Hong is a good friend of mine and she wanted a session with her nephews and nieces. It seems like there’s a lot of them but this is only half … LOL. We had a great time on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Enjoy the pics!

Midtown Jewelers

The other week I went to my friend, Bobby’s jewelry store to take some pictures because they are currently in the process of updating their website. It is called Midtown Jewelers and is located in Reston Town Center in Reston, VA. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable so if you need to get some fine jewelry or an engagement ring, you should definitely stop by for a visit. Their Michael M collection for engagement rings is out of this world so go check it out!

Elyse-6 months || Babies

Children are truly God’s greatest gift. Such innocent little creatures that can brighten up your day with just a smile….it almost makes me want one of my own. So, I revisited Elyse this past weekend for her 6 month pictures. This little diva has grown so much since the last time I saw her(Elyse 3 months) and was in a more chipper mood. We were actually able to get through the session with multiple outfit changes and no crying fits although she still only flashed a smile every once in a while. Now I only call her a diva because she has the attitude and the look of a diva. She preferred to keep her shades on for more than half of the session. Most babies would have thrown a fit to get the shades off their face but not Elyse. She absolutely LOVED her shades and worked it for the camera. Thanks Elyse for being a great model this weekend!

Maddy || Babies

After taking some time off and re-energizing, it’s time to get back in the game and put my camera to use. First, I’m rolling out with a new blog and logo for the 2010 year. If anyone needs an awesome graphic designer, let me know so I can send you to my friend who designed my logo. Secondly, my first post of the year is of Maddy. She has just turned 4 months this past Monday and has grown so much since her newborn session. Her personality is slowly coming through and her hair is wild as ever. Most moms can’t wait to put their little girl’s hairs in pigtails but with Maddy that’s not an issue. Though Maddy didn’t want to flash her pretty smile at my camera, I was able to capture a couple of them when she thought the camera wasn’t pointed at her. The last picture is of the dog, Dayla, who looks sad and neglected as he looks out the window.

Mac + Cammie || Family

Kolyma originally contacted me a while back for a family portrait’s session but we had to cancel because Mac gave his little sister, Cammie, a hair cut. Scissors and children can be a deadly combination but I think we all can relate to that. Then we tried to schedule a session for the past couple of weeks but have been hindered by the weather. Well, the kids finally got their photo session and we had a blast even though it was a bit chilly outside. Kramer, their dog, made a few appearances as well.

It only seemed like yesterday that we were all in the Bahamas for Sitha and Gabby’s Wedding. I was going crazy with my new dslr and I loved it. I guess you can say this was the first wedding I ever shot Fast forward 2.5 years, they have 2 adorable twin boys who have hit the terrible 2s. I got to experience for a brief time of what they go through everyday with these boys. They definitely melt your heart when you see them but 2 means double the trouble. The younger twin, Kaiden, was more cooperative than his older brother, Jacob. Jacob at one point decided he didn’t want anymore picture taking and got up and walked away. It will definitely be fun to see these boys grow up through the years and see what kind of trouble they will get into.

Elyse || Babies

Over the weekend I got to visit Ms. Elyse, Jackie and Ly‘s first born. She is definitely a cutie and anyone who sees her wants to squeeze her chubby cheeks. She wasn’t in a very good mood because she was tired but I was able to capture the very spare moments when she wasn’t crying at her parents. Maybe it’s because I’m not around her all the time but even when she was crying she was so freaking cute. You knew when the crying was about to come because her lower lip would start to protrude out and quiver which then erupted into some heavy duty crying. Her cousin Dakota, who I photographed a couple months ago, woke up from her nap and visited Elyse. I placed them next to each other and took a few pictures. I can’t wait to see these girls grow up together and wreck havoc on their parents.

Explosive Performance

Last week, my brother said he needed my help so I said yea sure. Little did I know what I would be getting myself into the next day. My brother is a Training Director for Explosive Performance(EP) at the Tysons Sport & Health. Explosive Performance provides sport specific training to athletes of various ages. The training involves increasing the agility, speed, and explosiveness of the athletes. So if you need some extra training to get to the next level, you should definitely go see these guys. Not only do they know what they are talking about but are also really nice guys.

Anyways, they are in the process of creating a new website and needed some head shots of the EP trainers for the site. I’ve never done head shots before so it was definitely a new experience. I made it through the 14 trainers and we did a casual group shot at the end of their training session.

Off camera Lights with the STi

The other weekend I wanted to experiment with some off camera lighting. So with no other subjects around, I took my brother and his ride out to do some trials. It was fun for me trying to figure it all out and he loved the fact he got more pictures of his car. We went out searching for a cool location and set up shop. Here are some of the pictures:

My brother needed another photo op with his car this past weekend. He recently installed the Rota G-force Gun Metallic rims to his car so updated pictures were necessary. I was more than happy to help since I can practice product shots.
