Little Dakota just turned 1. I remember when I did her newborn session last year, time has flown by so quickly. With a name like Dakota, how appropriate is a cowboy theme party, granted the birthday girl couldn’t keep her attire on for long but it still was a fun party. Some of the older kids wore their cowboy hats throughout the party and it came in handy when the pinata was smashed open to carry all the candy. Dakota’s cousin, Elyse, came by during the session and I got to capture the 2 girls interacting. It always makes you wonder if they can communicate with each other, it was sure fun watching them try. Here are some pictures from Lake Fairfax Park.

Sarah and Steve had their wedding a couple of weeks ago at the Kings Family Vineyard in Crozet, Virginia. They were such great sports considering the rain was falling the whole day causing a shift in the plans for the ceremony. A bridesmaid even locked her keys in the car while it was still running but that didn’t put a crimp in anyone’s mood(crisis was solved thanks to the officer down below). All their family and friends gathered at the vineyard to celebrate this joyous occasion with them and then danced the night away. The night ended with the bride and groom departing through a sparkler lined exit with cheers of joy from all the guests. Congratulations Sarah and Steve!
